Canada’s Regulated Marijuana Industry is Booming, But What About the Black Market Sales Numbers?

Canada, in particular, has done so well with its regulated cannabis industry, and a recent study revealed that 70% of participants purchased cannabis from the regulated market rather than the black market. Currently, Canada has one of the largest legal adult-based cannabis industries globally. Uruguay is the only country that has legalized adult-use thus far, but the country still deals with the pitfalls of the black market. In comparison, Canada has 37.5 million people, which is 1/10th of Uruguay’s population.
