Rumor or Fact: Legalized Cannabis for Post-Covid Economy Damage Control?

It would make sense for the US to completely embrace legal cannabis in response to the job loss due to the shutdown. The Great Pause – at this point – will generate more deaths due to economic loss than to the virus itself. Poverty also increases crime, which would then result in increased police presence, deeper clash between people and the state and a few decades of moderate mayhem. Unless of course – we stop being childish about drug use in general – end our silly war on freedom of choice and embrace new sources of income.
