Yes, you can use just about any tree bark, but this doesn’t mean there are a few exceptions. For example, tree barks from walnut and cedar trees are not ideal for indoor planting or containers. The resin and terpenes in the cedar bark are too powerful for the plant, but you can also try cedar tree bark outdoors.
