Snoop Dogg & The Butcher’s Daughter Seek To Redefine What Nightlife Tastes Like With New Kanna Drinks

The sober-curious wave just got a serious jolt of flavor and credibility. Snoop Dogg’s Iconic Tonics has joined forces with cult-favorite plant-based restaurant group The Butcher’s Daughter and their record-spinning wine bar, Only The Wild Ones. The partnership is rolling out in New York and Los Angeles this month, dropping a lineup of functional, zero-proof cocktails designed to push nightlife into a new dimension.

The headliner? The Grilled Lemon Spritz, a restaurant cocktail made with Kanna, a mood-shifting succulent from South Africa with roots in ancient ritual. For centuries, Kanna was chewed, smoked, or steeped in tea to elevate the spirit and soften the edges of daily life. Today, it arrives on American menus with a different kind of power: a reminder that nightlife can be about connection, not just intoxication.

Kanna Meets Culture

Kanna’s debut on a restaurant menu is no small experiment. Backed by Snoop, it plants a flag in nightlife’s shifting landscape, where younger generations are already drinking less and looking for something deeper than a soda water with lime.

This isn’t about absence. It is about presence. About flavors that matter, ingredients that have history, and drinks that leave people elevated without the hangover. With Snoop’s cultural gravity, the message is clear: this is not a side trend. This is nightlife evolving in real time.

The Alchemist at Work

The cocktail itself comes from Warren Bobrow, a veteran mixologist and cannabis alchemist who has spent his career bending the rules of cocktail culture. His books, awards, and Klaus cannabis cocktails have already secured his place as one of the most inventive bartenders of his generation.

“The Butcher’s Daughter is rooted in produce and seasonality, so I wanted the first cocktail to embody that,” Bobrow told High Times. “Grilling the lemons adds warmth and depth, the ginger brings energy, and the Kanna creates a gentle lift. It’s both grounding and elevating, a way of drinking that feels like the future.”

Alongside the Spritz, The Butcher’s Daughter and Only The Wild Ones will rotate through other Iconic Tonics creations, including Bobrow’s own Klaus, Death Row Records’ Do It Fluid, and Love Yer Brain, developed with Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips.

Nightlife Without the Booze

The timing is spot-on. Dry January and Sober October have already cracked the door open. Surveys show nearly 40% of U.S. adults abstain from alcohol altogether, while almost half say they are trying to drink less. That doesn’t mean they want to sit out the party. It means they want something else to toast with.

Evan Eneman, CEO and co-founder of Iconic Tonics, sees it as more than a trend.

“The non-alcoholic movement isn’t just about saying no to alcohol,” Eneman told High Times. “It is about creating drinks that spark connection, celebrate culture, and make you feel good in the moment. That changes the whole night.”

The Snoop Effect

When Snoop steps into a space, he brings culture with him. He has already made headlines for his dive into cannabis and hemp beverages, saying earlier this year that drinking weed is “like a chill cruise, not a high-speed chase.”
